Every time you load a page, TodayWeather fetches fresh data live from our weather provider (Open-Meteo). Nothing is cached and served stale. There's no fixed update schedule; refresh the page any time for the latest numbers. See our Data Sources & Methodology page for details.
AQI (Air Quality Index) is a single number that summarizes how polluted the air is, combining pollutants like PM2.5, PM10, ozone, NO₂, SO₂ and CO. We use the US AQI scale: 0-50 is Good, 51-100 Moderate, 101-150 Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups, 151-200 Unhealthy, 201-300 Very Unhealthy, and 301+ Hazardous. A higher number means worse air quality.
Rain probability (chance of rain) is the model's confidence that measurable rain will fall in that hour or day. For example, 70% means the weather model expects rain in 7 out of 10 similar situations. It's not a guarantee it will or won't rain, and it doesn't tell you how heavy the rain will be.
Forecasts for the next 1-3 days are generally the most reliable. Accuracy naturally decreases the further out you look. By day 15-16 of our extended outlook, treat it as a general trend rather than a precise prediction. We never fabricate a number; whatever our data provider returns is exactly what we show. Yes. All weather, radar, air quality and forecast features are completely free, with no account required to check the weather. Creating a free account adds extras like favorite cities and saved preferences.
It's calculated from live temperature, feels-like temperature, rain chance, wind speed, UV index and AQI using fixed threshold rules. A general guide only, not medical advice. See Data Sources & Methodology for the full breakdown.
Yes. Use the date picker on the homepage, hourly, or 16-day pages. Past dates use historical reanalysis data; future dates beyond our forecast window show clearly-labeled historical averages, never a fabricated forecast.
