1. How to report an error
If you spot incorrect information. A factual error in a blog article, a wrong detail on a business listing, or something that looks broken on a weather page. Email todayweatheralert@gmail.com or use our contact form (choose "Report an issue"). Please include the page URL and a short description of what's wrong.
2. What we don't treat as "errors"
Live weather figures (temperature, forecast, radar, AQI) update automatically from our data providers and change constantly by design. A forecast changing between visits isn't an error, it's how forecasting works. See our Disclaimer and Data Sources & Methodology pages for why. If a location shows no data at all, or an obviously implausible value (e.g. a stuck reading), that's worth reporting.
3. How corrections are made
- Blog articles: factual errors are corrected in place. A meaningfully incorrect claim (not a typo) gets a brief editor's note where appropriate, explaining what changed and when.
- Business listings: the listing owner or our team updates the details; changes go live after a quick review to prevent abuse.
- City/location pages: incorrect coordinates, names, or metadata are fixed directly in our location database.
4. Update timestamps
Blog articles that are meaningfully revised after their original publish date show an updated date alongside the original one. Location pages show when their underlying data was last verified, where available.
5. Response time
We aim to review correction reports within a few business days. Urgent or safety-related reports (e.g. a business listing with wrong emergency-relevant information) are prioritized.
